With the creation of the Calhoun Economic Development Association (CEDA) in 2007 and the move forward to establish a Vocational & Career Center, business and civic leaders are dedicated to invest in their economic future and bring new industry to the county.

United Chair Expands Business In Bruce And Adds 125 New Jobs

The two main reasons that Haworth (United Chair's parent company) decided to expand its investment in Calhoun County were: 1) it's top notch management team and high performing plant in Bruce; and 2) the high quality and dedicated workers found in our County. The work that led to the agreement to expand was a great example of what collaboration and team work can do, as United Chair, the State, County, City of Bruce and CEDA came together to make this happen.
